My Creative Scrapbook | February Tutorial | Adventure Awaits

Hi Scrapping Friends!

This month I created a step-by-step tutorial using the February Main Kit, and the fabulous My Creative Scrapbook Sketch. I begin by flipping the sketch so that my photo end up be place in the upper left hand corner, and as you can see by just flipping the sketch you can get a completely different look.

The February sketch-flip

Adventure Awaits....

I started with a 12x12 white cardstock, added my first selection of patterned paper by cutting it to 2 1/2" x 12" and adhere it to the cardstock.

Added my second layer of patterned paper cutting it at 10"x 2"  and added machine stitching around the edges which also works as my adhesive.

From this point on I follow the sketch placement of the embellishments!

I created several circles and stars using a paper punch in a few different sizes...I then added foam dots to the back of the stars to give it some extra dimension and arrange on my page.

Here's a few close-ups....

I hope I inspired you to create some beautiful....

My Creative Scrapbook | Sparkle & Shine | February Main Kit

Hi My Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back to share another layout using My Creative Scrapbook - February Main Kit.
For this layout I used one of the fabulous design in this month cut file created by Anita Bownds of Neat N Crafty !

<<<<Here's the cut file>>>>

I used the flower in the upper right hand corner. I cut it from white cardstock and then backed it with several selection of patterned papers from the kit. I then added foam dots behind the flower to give it some extra dimension.

Here are some close-ups...

I fussy cut the butterflies from the gorgeous Hazelwood collection and add glue only to center of the butterfly so I can fold the wings up to give it some dimension, and added a few pieces of journaling strips,

I created two small clusters of arrows using the wood veneers, stickers and chipboard. I added one in the upper left corner and the other in the bottom right corner.
For my title I used a sticker from the Simple Stories-Posh collection.

I hope I inspired you to create something beautiful ....

Lot's Of Love | Just Nick Studio

Hi Scrapping Friends!

Today I'm back to share a new layout created for Just Nick Studio using this week free cut file Free Love!

Here's the Free Love cut file....

All this week the Design Team at Just Nick will be sharing a project using the Free Love cut file and for this week only you can grab it for free!

I knew I wanted to handstitched the Free Love cut file...so after selecting which of the design I wanted to use on my page, I cut the image out using the heart day collection from Crate Paper. Once this was finish I used the offset function in Silhouette to create an outline, which I use as a guideline for my stitching. Before I delete the offset image I also cut it out using some patterned paper.

I chose to do my stitching first, after which I inserted the patterned paper into the stitched area and adhere it in place.

On the top right hand corner of my photo I added a small cluster using some die-cut ephemera and bits&pieces from Cocoa Vanilla Studio-Love Always collection.
I combine some foam letter stickers with the free love cut file to create my title and run some machine stitching across it.

For this week only grab the FREE LOVE cut file for FREE just use the code-FREELOVE at checkout.

Creative Scrappers Sketch # 303 | My Happy

Hi Friends!

Today I'm sharing my design team layout for Creative Scrappers using the February sketch #303. Every month I'm so amazed at the beautiful sketches created by Kristine Davidson....

Here's my take on sketch #303

Here's sketch #303

I flipped the sketch on it's side, so that the title is on the bottom right. As you can see just by flipping the sketch you can get a completely different look!

Here's a few close-ups...

I used Crate Paper-Heart Day Collection for most of my layout with a couple of photos of my boys enjoying dinner time on vacation last year.

I machine stitched my patterned paper to the white cardstock and started adding my layers.

Next I selected a few ephemera pieces from Crate paper-Heart day collection, added with a few chipboard stickers from the-Gather collection to created a little cluster to the lower left of my photo and added a flair(A Flair For Buttons)on top for some extra interest.

For my title I combine foam letter stickers, with the happy phrase chipboard from the Gather Collection and added some foam dots underneath to give it some added dimension!
